Embracing our responsibilities
Managing the impact of our activities on the environment, customers, employees, communities, stakeholders and the public
Providing businesses across Europe with reliable, professional-class virtual server environments to host websites, email, business applications and other rich media content since 2004
BIZARC (Business Arc Limited) is a privately held Virtualisation and Cloud Computing services company based in London UK and Amsterdam NL. For over 5 years we've provided European hosting services that deliver reliable, professional-class virtual server environments to run web sites, email, business applications and other rich media. As a group of people we are friendly, accessible and most importantly "technology neutral" engineers and business folks tasked with the mission of advancing the financial success of our company through adding value to our services and meeting customer needs.
Our mission
"to build solid, long-term relationships with our customers through the provision of robust professional solutions at a reasonable price with a complete focus on complete customer satisfaction."
Our goal
"to provide a service that gives our customers complete operational control over the essential technologies required to run their business only buying what is wanted, when its needed."
Our motto
"spend wisely and do the right thing"
BIZARC recognises the earth's resources are limited, and business and industry can and must play a decisive role in conserving them and in protecting our natural environment.
We believe environmental management should be embedded in every company's business ethics and its long term goals; implementing measures that are environmentally sound, economically viable and socially responsible.
BIZARC's business is in effect Technology Outsourcing. Designing, developing and operating managed Utility applications and support to business customers. We believe the nature of our business has a positive effect on the environment as we promote the use of shared computing environments which by proxy exponentially reduces energy and manufacturing costs. Even the equipment we use and the “environmental cost” to build and operate it has little impact on the environment. Nevertheless, we are committed to complying with all environmental legislation and regulations and are constantly taking proactive steps to improve environmentally friendly procedures in our business.
Our activities
Recycling
- Outdated PC’s and servers are recycled by sending them to charities supporting developing nations that refurbish machines for education and training.
- All paper used or recyclable rubbish is collected and separated out so that 100% may be recycled
- Printer cartridges and consumables are returned to the manufacturer for recycling
- Financial compensations are being made to an NGO to plant new trees to offset the energy used in the set-up and operation of our business so we can become Carbon Neutral
Operational Strategies
- Minimise the social impact of the company activities and avoid damage to the environment through regular reviews of the business from environmental and management systems audits.
- Encourage electronic distribution of software and documentation to customers and partners, eliminating the need for production and printing of media
- Comply and surpass legal obligations under the current UK Health & Safety Act and the Environmental Protection Act, together with all other applicable statutory provisions and relevant codes of practice.
- Promote health, safety and environmental awareness throughout our sphere of influence.
- To undertake environmental impact studies as part of the enlargement of existing facilities or deployment of new services.
Our goals
- To create a carbon neutral business that will have a positive impact on climate change
- Help establish new relationships to increase the number of environmentally oriented companies we deal with.
- Assist our customers in developing and implementing environmental management strategies.
Our promise
“BIZARC will control and manage its activities to ensure adverse effects of operational activities on the environment will be minimized”
BIZARC took all the hassle out of changing our business into a more socially responsible one. In just one day our web based business is now legitimately able to claim that 100% of the energy used is offset or sourced from green supply.
Danny Fisher, World Summits Organisation
